Online Training

Mark Force is our Training Coordinator for our training team. Mark has worked with librarians for over ten years and worked with the education channel since the early 90's and brings a wealth of real world L4U experience with him. Your training sessions will be both informative and entertaining.

Allow for 1.5 hours when you book a training session. Once your training is scheduled, you will receive the appropriate handouts for the lesson and instructions for joining the session. Examples of instructor led modules are listed below.

  • Essential L4U
    This popular topic is geared to the L4U new comer and is designed to get them up and running quickly and easily.
  • Intermediate L4U Processes
    Choose from a variety of topics for the intermediate L4U user such as advanced searches, global changes, authority management or Client upkeep.
  • Creating Custom Reports
    Learn how to use the L4U Quick Report Editor to easily and quickly create custom reports.
  • Acquisitions
    Basic Acquisitions File functions, including manual cataloging, downloading MARC records from the Internet, and posting to the Library File.
  • Importing Client MARC Records
    Learn how to import student and MARC records right the first time.
  • Using & Configuring the iPAC
    Learn how to maximize the use of L4U's iPAC.
  • School Year Start Up
    Set your library schedule, learn how to use the Global Return Date, and use L4U's Utilities to clear last year's circulation and usage data.
  • Creating Labels in L4U
    Learn how to print client cards, and create and save spine and barcode label templates quickly and efficiently.
  • Inventory in L4U
    Learn how to use L4U's Inventory module to suit your library's unique needs.
  • Advanced Bookings in L4U
    This 3 hour lesson takes you through enabling, configuring, and using all the new features of L4U's completely re-written Advanced Bookings module.
